I love dark chocolate because it doesn't have an over bearing of "sweetness." You can feel good about getting your necessary magnesium as well. All that and you have the best peanuts around- definitely the best Dark Covered Peanuts ever!

My sister and I grew up loving chocolate so i knew I had to send some of these to her for Christmas this year. She sent me a text not long after she received them and exclaimed over how good they were. When I commented that "covering the best peanuts ever with the world's best chocolate," her response was "Yessss!" I couldn't have put it better myself. Do yourself a favor and order these. If you have them out at a holiday party, they probably won't last out the party. So better take some out and hide them for yourself.

The blending of dark European chocolate with the best peanuts in the world is a stroke of genius, and a product long overdue to Virginia Diner's collection of peanut candies. Dark chocolate has a rich sweetness that milk chocolate is lacking, and the double-dipping of the peanuts makes sure that you get a full chocolate flavor without causing the peanut flavor to be lost. I liked them so much I sent them to my whole family for Christmas. Nice job, Virginia Diner.

The first time I tried European-style dark chocolate, I knew I'd never look at a Hershey bar again. So now Virginia Diner has combined the world's best peanut with the world's best chocolate. All I can say is "Wow!" The chocolate is just sweet enough and doesn't overpower the taste of the peanut. This is a real treat for the taste buds. If you haven't tried them, it's time to treat yourself.

I am not complaining as the dark chocolate is very good, but these are not generic chocolate covered candy nuts you find in stores where it's mostly peanut and little chocolate. I am a HUGE fan of VA Diner peanuts. I have been buying them since 1986, when I found them at the Williamsburg Pottery Factory, while on my honeymoon. Through the mid 2000's, I owned a flower/gift shop, and sold Va Diner nuts for gift baskets. My all time favorite were the Dark double-dipped MINT version, so I tried these.

As if their milk chocolate version weren't amazing enough...I LOVE dark chocolate and have NEVER found a double dipped chocolate covered peanut with dark chocolate ANYWHERE that didn't have glaze. I've never understood why they can't make them like the milk chocolate varieties! FINALLY I found them! And the quality (of both milk and dark varieties) is far superior to any other brand i've ever tried.
